After reviewing your request, we will send a cost estimate and project request form to your email address within 3 business hours.

In the project request form, please provide more detailed information about your research, along with any relevant references.

After a brief online meeting based on the information provided in the request form, we will begin the project. For international clients, we will coordinate communication with consideration for the time difference.

The illustration is not completed in a single step. Instead, we develop the overall structure and visual concept through ongoing discussions with the researcher, ensuring that the illustration accurately reflects the research content. On average, the project is completed after 3–4 rounds of revisions and presentations.

Once you receive a draft, please discuss it with your lab members or research team and share your feedback with us. We will incorporate your feedback into the next version.

We carefully incorporate your feedback to ensure that the final illustration accurately represents your research, while refining the overall quality and visual details before delivering the final artwork.
* FAQ
1. What payment methods do you accept? Can I pay with a research funding card?
- For clients in Korea, we accept credit/debit cards and cash payments, with either an electronic tax invoice or cash receipt available upon request.
For international clients, we accept credit card payments via PayPal and international bank transfers, and can also issue invoices.
2. What if I need to add additional illustrations during the project?
-There is no need to worry. In most cases, it is perfectly normal for additional illustrations or minor revisions to arise during the production process.
Additional charges may apply for newly requested illustrations, depending on their scope and complexity.
However, requests that significantly extend the production timeline may not be possible due to our existing project schedule. We therefore recommend informing us of any changes or additional requests as early as possible.
3. Can I receive the individual elements of the illustration separately?
- Yes. To allow for future layout adjustments and text editing, we separate the individual elements of the illustration whenever technically feasible.
The separated elements are organized into folders and delivered as original PNG files along with the final artwork.
4. How many revisions are included?
- On average, we provide 3–4 rounds of drafts before the project is finalized, incorporating your feedback and revision requests throughout the process.
However, if you request a change to the overall concept or project direction after the second draft has been delivered, additional charges may apply.
For illustrations where accuracy depends on subtle differences in density, porosity, intensity, opacity, and other fine visual details, we may also communicate with you via KakaoTalk for quick reviews and confirmations outside of the formal draft delivery process. This helps us work more efficiently and accurately.
5. Is an in-person meeting possible?
- Most of our projects are conducted through online meetings, which generally provide sufficient communication for the project.
However, we can arrange an in-person meeting when it is necessary due to the nature or scale of the project.
In-person meetings are available without location restrictions within Seoul. For locations outside Seoul, meetings may be possible depending on our schedule. Please contact us in advance to discuss availability.

The pricing and estimated turnaround times listed below are intended as general guidelines for our standard rates.
Please note that the actual cost may vary depending on factors such as the number of illustrations, whether a background is required, and the use of visual effects (e.g., lighting, smoke, electricity, particles, etc.).
In other words, the actual project cost may be higher or lower than the estimated price, as it depends on the specific research content and requirements of each project.

** All materials related to projects that do not proceed will be securely discarded. We maintain strict confidentiality regarding your research throughout the entire process, both during production and after the project has been completed.**

At Graphic Lab, we limit the number of projects we accept within a given timeframe in order to deliver high-quality scientific illustrations that accurately reflect the research content.
If a requested project overlaps with our existing production schedule or falls outside the scope of work we can accommodate, we may respectfully decline the request.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding that, in order to maintain the quality of our work, we are not able to accept every project.
